Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We enjoyed this restaurant. Had been planning to go elsewhere but it was closed due to it being Easter Sunday and Don Alex was open nearby. The 3.8 rating is too low, so I'm rating as a 5 to help a bit. I think a fair overall rating would be in the 4.3-4.5 range.
The food was very good and came out quickly. The portions are pretty big too. We first thought the prices were a touch high but you can eat more economically as the menu is pretty diverse and especially if you're a family with their combination specials which bring the per person price under $10 (not including drinks). I got the sangria too, which others have mentioned and it was very good - note I have a sweet tooth.
Be aware that they automatically add a tip to the bill.
On the negative side they had commercial light-rock radio playing which really detracts from the ambience - especially as they otherwise gave the impression they were trying to be a bit more sophisticated. I recommend subscribing to a service that includes Peruvian and other topical music genres. Also, there were several TVs playing (no sound) as if this was a sports bar - which is not at all the vibe of the decor & menu. These were visually distracting and aren't needed.
